Arts Guild of New Jersey, Rahway, NJ


Arts Guild New Jersey presents, PREEMPTIVE STRIKE! -an exhibition curated by Douglas Ferrari, Assistant Director of AGNJ. This show features a group of more than 30 artists from Asbury Park, New Jersey who plan to invade the north before the annual summer migration to the Jersey Shore begins. Armed with only their artwork the shore locals are planning this surprise attack to begin on April 28th and will continue through May 30, 2013. If you'd like to meet and welcome these shore residents, a free public reception will be held at Arts Guild New Jersey, located at 1670 Irving Street, on Sunday April 28th from 1-4pm and First Thursday Event May 2 from 6:30-8:30. 



This show will feature Asbury Park artists Janice M. Ashby, Paul Bonelli, Joseph Borzotta, Richard Buntzen, Dennis Carroll, Doris China, David French, Megan Gale, Richard Hatter, Kevin Hinkle, Molly Johnson, Rande Johnson, Ruben A. Martinez, Anne Massoni, Billy Mecca, Joe Nicita, Michelle Parks, Andrew Pawlan, Laura Petrovich-Cheney, Porkchop, Dave Scelfo, Patrick Schiavino, Katelyn Schuh, Jeffrey Seeds, Sara Stadtmiller, Lily Szabo, Scott Szegeski, John Viggiano, and Richard Zimmerman.

I am so honored to have been invited to this exhibit! A big thanks goes out to Doug Ferrari for his tirelessly dedication in organizing this show! 

Rahway is definitely on those places to be. New Jersey Public Television (NJTV) aired a show called "Rahway Revisited" on Sunday April 21 @ 8:00. Click Here for the YouTube video for that. This video is about Rahway's transformation into a destination for arts and culture.
